EXTERNAL COOPERATION PARTNER FOR PROJECT- AND EXPORT FINANCING
Martina is a proven expert in the field of export financing and related strategies for complex high-volume projects in trade, infrastructure and plant engineering worldwide. She further advises on all questions around payment terms, payment securities and the necessary contractual agreements. Martina has vast experience and insights both from her past in the banking sector and her current position in industry.
After obtaining her degree in business administration from Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakademie Munich, Martina worked in export financing with Hypovereinsbank (today Unicredit) in Munich, Dresden and Frankfurt for more than 20 years.
She supported German exporters in their business activities abroad but was also responsible for advising foreign importers and their banks, namely from the CIS-countries and Eastern Europe.
Besides drafting, negotiating and managing export letters of credit and guarantees, Martina specialized in export financing, the structuring of ECA (namely Hermes)-backed buyer’s loans and on the structuring of forfeiting for German exporters. These projects often reached three-digit million Euro volumes.
From the moment she decided to move from banking to the industry in 2013, to the German subsidiary of a Finnish corporation in the metals & mining sector, Martina is not only structuring financing and payment securities of complex projects worldwide. but is also heavily involved in the day-to-day implementation of these projects.
Furthermore, the focus of her work is on structuring and negotiating ECA-backed loans with international banks and export credit agencies such as German Hermes and Finnish Finnvera. Martina frequently travels abroad to negotiate with customers and to support banks and export credit agencies in the assessment of projects.
